WHO IS ZETSKE VAN PLETZEN
Zetske van Pletzen is a South African film, television and theatre actress. She has been actively involved
in the entertainment industry since 2005. She has appeared in numerous films, series,
music videos and theatre productions. She is also a fashion designer, motivational speaker, MC
and voice artist. In 2016, Zetske obtained a degree in Psychology and French.

BIOGRAPHY
Zetske was born, raised and schooled in Pretoria.
Her love for the performing arts began when she started dancing at the age of four. At school she excelled in
sports and achieved national colours for athletics
and cross country running.
She matriculated in 2005 from Pro Arte Alphen Park with Drama as her study field. She was awarded best movement and drama student in 2004 & 2005.
She received her diplomas in Cechetti Ballet (Intermediate) and RAD (Elementary). She is also trained in
Contemporary and Jazz dance.
In 2007 she worked as an English teacher and au pair in France and was happy to return home, fluent in French.
In 2015, Zetske started her own clothing range, called Halo Collection.

CAREER
Most recently, Zetske was seen as Denise in the medical drama series HARTKLOP. Last year, Zetske played the French marine biologist in SPOORLOOS: DIE EILAND.
She appeared in the the kykNET films ONGEPOETS, MAL, APOKALIPS and KRISMASBOKS.
Zetske portrayed the character of "Julia" on
GETROUD MET RUGBY from 2018 to 2020.
In 2017, Zetske wrote and produced a short film,
EK EN MYSELFIE for the Silwerskerm film festival
in Cape Town.
She starred in the Deon Opperman political drama series BLOEDBROERS, set in South Africa from 1918 to 1958.
Zetske played a cameo role in the feature film MOOIRIVIER, as well as the M-net series STILL BREATHING.
. In 2013 and 2014, she was seen on stage at the Joburg Theatre and Atterbury Theatre as vocalist and dancer in
THE QUEEN EXPERIENCE with Joseph Clark.
From 2011 to 2013, she starred in 7DE LAAN,
as the sassy book editor, Marcel.
Zetske played 'Maria-Elena Holly’ in
BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story at the State Theatre.
She was also part of DOOD VAN 'N VERKOOPSMAN (the Afrikaans translation of Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman").
In 2009, she played ‘Kara’ in the popular soap, BINNELANDERS.
Zetske was happy to be a part of the musical, HOUTKRUIS performed
at the State Theatre in 2009.
In 2008, she played the role of Izel Landman in the acclaimed
drama series KRUISPAD.
In 2006, Zetske played the romantic lead in the series, BEGEERTES.
During her matric year, Zetske appeared in 14 episodes
of the KykNET-series HART VAN STAAL.
Zetske's voice can be heard on a number of Turkish telenovelas, that have been dubbed into Afrikaans.
